MESA FUND Liberty Update: 11/5/08 Liberty is a 7 year old black female born May 2001. Her registration ear is not legible, only 51C in her right ear, so her identity will remain a mystery. She was named Liberty because of the ensuing holiday, July 4. Liberty arrived as a stray from Fort Worth Animal Control, and like so many others, is heartworm positive and carries a huge burden of intestinal parasites. She has a lot of hair loss and possible skin infection, and those are not burrs on her shown in this picture - they are TICKS! Over 100 ticks were pulled off of her when she arrived. She is under the care of Dr. Christy Soileau and Dr. Jeff Ellis of VCA Preston Park Animal Hospital. It is not known at this time if Liberty is small animal or cat tolerant. The special medical treatment cost needed by Liberty is why the Miss Mesa Fund was established. If you would like to help with Liberty's care, please take a moment to make a donation to the fund. You can use a credit card, check or PayPal by making the donation through the GALT GreytStore. You can also write a check (Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, P.O. Box 680, Addison, TX 75001) and note Miss Mesa Fund/Liberty on your check. Alternately,
you can make a donation using PayPal by clicking on the You WILL and CAN make a difference in Liberty's life and the lives of other greyhounds in need of special medical care. Your help and support will make a difference...one greyhound at a time.
