Finley Finley

Finley, aka U Too Finely, is a handsome, fawn, two-year-old male born August 7, 2008. His sire is U Too Giter Done, making his grandsire Gable Dodge, and his dam is U Too Sugar Plum. Finley came directly from the farm and has no races to his credit. He arrived with positive titers to Ehrlichia and Babesia. Successful treatment has been completed, and this was determined by a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test. This tick-borne panel test by Antech shows if there is an active infection in the body. All of Finley’s results showed he is negative to Ehrlichia, Babesia and other tick-borne diseases.

Finley is cat and small animal trainable.

Finley

Finley is a sweet boy who just wants to be where you are. If you are sitting on the couch, he's curled up at your feet. If you're in the kitchen, he finds a spot where he can observe what's going on. At night he prefers the dog bed that is closest to you instead of across the room. He is a leaner and a cuddler, and he loves to push his head against your chest or under your arm while you pet him. Finley loves a neck scratch and he loves to listen to your voice. If you whisper to him about what a good boy he is he looks at you with those liquid brown eyes and you just melt. As you can tell from his photos, his ears are VERY expressive. If he hears an interesting noise they go right up into Bat Dog position!

Finley

He does not counter surf and he has not had any accidents in the house. He walks well on the leash, never pulling. He will stick right to your side and a little behind you and doesn't seem to need more than a 15-20 minute walk. Finley loves the car and spends most of the ride looking excitedly out the windows, and he also LOVES meeting other dogs. He seems to be especially fascinated with little dogs, and he is very gentle with them.

He loves to squeak and squeak and squeak his toys until he just wears them out. He is adorable when playing with his stuffies; he splays his front legs to lower his chest to the ground but keeps his rear end high in the air. (And his tail whirls around like a helicopter!)

If he has to go outside he will stand in front of you and bark once to get your attention. He will chatter his teeth and nip at your hands when he gets excited. There is no meanness in it, but he would do best in a home without small children.

If I didn't have a full house I would adopt him myself. Everyone who meets him just loves him. He is a very sweet and loving boy who will make some family very, very happy.
