Morgan is a strikingly handsome 1½-year-old dark brindle male born December 26, 2006. Morgan's sire is Lonesome Cry, making his grand sire the late famous Gable Dodge, and his dam is Coot's Escort. Morgan, as the "c" pup, was not individually registered with the National Greyhound Association. Morgan was found as a stray in west Texas and was taken to the Amarillo Humane Society. He is a very friendly boy who loves to be around people.
Morgan's cat test: Morgan was quite disinterested in the cats. I showed him the cat just sitting still and he would not look at her at first, then he took a sniff and for that he got a hiss and a smack, which seemed to hurt the sweet boy's feelings. Molly then started walking away and Morgan's ears perked up and he started to follow but when she turned to look back and growl at him, he thought better of it and decided there were much more interesting things to check out. I would say Morgan should be fine with cats.
Morgan has been with us a short while and already has shown us his very happy and affectionate side, as he likes to give little tiny kisses. He is always coming up and "bumping" or leaning into you for love. Morgan is small dog and cat tolerant. In fact, he tries to follow the cats to give them a big wet kiss on the forehead - which they do not always appreciate. He is currently with an assortment of size ranges of dogs, ranging from a 12lb. small dog, to other greys.
He is very playful and is always trying to instigate play time while outside with the other dogs. He would do well to have other dogs as he is always looking for a game to play and loves his toys. Morgan has recently learned to go up and down stairs, along with the comforts of having his very own dog bed. He is protective of his food, but is not food aggressive and never tries to take the other dogs' food. Morgan kennels very well when we leave the house, but is always very excited upon our return.
Morgan has shown no interest in getting on the furniture or into a human bed; he is quite content to lay on the floor or in a doggie bed.
Morgan is looking for his forever home and is young and eager to bond...and how could you resist those wonderful floppy ears?Morgan's Foster Mom
