Impala is a sweet and loving girl who is very eager to please. From the first day she arrived, she had perfect house manners and never had an accident in the house. She loves her meals and is usually the first one done though she isn’t a big fan of dog cookies as treats (unless they’re dipped in peanut butter!) She likes her quiet time and prefers to nap on a dog bed in a room with no noise. She sleeps well throughout the night next to her people on her own dog bed and has no trouble sharing the room with other dogs. At any given time during the night, if you happened to look at her sleeping, chances are she’d be roaching because THAT is her favorite posture! She is quite the watch dog, too, and barks at the front door if she sees anyone in the driveway approaching the house. Impala has some sensitivities in one paw due to an old injury and therefore would do best in an experienced greyhound home without small children. Walkies and car rides are at the top of Impala’s list for fun and she is perfectly behaved on a leash. She loves the outdoors and spent a good deal of time exploring our backyard and sniffing the air for wild animals (we live on a greenbelt.) We never felt the need to crate her but she will crate if that is what her forever family requires. This gorgeous girl is ready to find her forever family and roach to her heart’s content!
